Very very nice. I use Paint Tool SAI also.

But my line art isn't coming out nearly as nice as your's. Even for finished projects. Can you share your brush settings with us?

I do it on a separate layer. When shading a color, I usually pick the complimentary color of the color I'm shading. Then it's just adjusting the layers opacity to your liking. That's for basic shading, I don't know much about blending digitally yet.

I'm not familiar with Sai yet to know what the best settings are; I just use the pen tool. I do use a tablet though, so the pen pressure allows me to vary the line weight as I see fit.

If you want an actual thumbnail, you'd have to create and upload a thumbnail-sized image and then have that image link to the bigger one. Or you could let the forum do it for you (in a manner of speaking) by using the [simg] tag instead of the [img] tag. That way, your image is restricted to 800 pixels wide (if I remember correctly) and clicking will show the full thing. Still, the full image loads even if you use that tag.

Just work on your line weight. Thicker lines accent parts you want to emphasize. I use thinner lines on the smaller details and surround them with thicker outlines to make the details stand out. Granted, I worked on it for two days, refining and refining until I was happy with it. Pro artists can shit stuff out in a matter of hours.

One more character down for the movie poster. Don't mind the flame effects, it's just a placeholder.

Thanks. I haven't drawn before this in little over a year, but I'm getting more into it the more I draw. Both images for the poster so far have turned out far better than I imagined them initially. Two more characters and a little placement editing and I'll be done! Here's the two characters together; they'll be right in the middle of the poster.

I had to reverse the guy on the left because the movie is called Avery & Pete: Superseeds. Unfortunately, his powerglove is reversed as well, but I realized I drew them both with the same leg sticking outward so I had to come up with a way to make it more dynamic.

Am I mistaken or do one of those characters resemble Captain N?

Strange, the director said the same thing. It could be the power glove.
