DLC are 10 yen each if you already bought it? That's okay for me since I haven't bought anything

Persona 5 Royal F.A.Q. addresses Persona 5 save data and DLC compatibility

Plus some new screenshots.

Atlus has posted a short F.A.Q. on Persona 5 Royal addressing questions regarding Persona 5 save data and downloadable content compatibility, release on other platforms, and more.

Here is the full F.A.Q.:

Does save data from Persona 5 carry over to Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 Royal is based on the game systems of Persona 5, but is a rebirth with numerous new elements such as new characters and events implemented from the beginning of the game. Since it is a different experience from playing the original Persona 5, carrying over save data for things such as stats and the Persona Compendium is not possible. However, if you have save data for Persona 5, you will receive a useful bonus at the beginning of the game. (This will work with both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 save data. If you are using PlayStation 3 save data, upload the save data to the network (cloud) and play Persona 5 Royal from the same PlayStation Network account to receive the bonus.)

Will Persona 5 Royal release for platforms other than PlayStation 4?

There are currently no plans.

Will there be a digital edition?

There will be. Pre-orders are available now on the PlayStation Store. The contents of the physical and digital editions are the same.

Will there be store-specific bonuses?

Those are currently in preparation. As soon as they are ready, you will be able to see the different bonuses per store via our Buyer’s Guide.

What about the downloadable content I purchased for Persona 5?

Due to commercial reasons, you will be able to continue using the downloadable content purchased for Persona 5 in Persona 5 Royal by re-purchasing the content at “one content for 10 yen.” (This applies to both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 version downloadable content.)

Persona 5 Royal is due out for PlayStation 4 on October 31 in Japan, and in 2020 in the west. Read more about the game here.

Si, i guess this royal thing won't be DLC for the original and they care charging full price for what is essentially the same game without the dlc included for free.

Can't say i'm too pleased about that.
