Time to dip into the wallet. Again.


The PlayStation Plus subscription service is to raise its prices again in Europe and Asia, though the specific cost of the price hike will vary, depending on the country in question.

The U.K. has seemingly ducked the price rise altogether, while France and Germany will only see an increase in the cost of single month subscriptions to 8.99. Other countries affected by the price change will see an increase in one month, three month and one year subscriptions. The full list of countries, along with the new prices, can be viewed below (courtesy of thesixthaxis.com)

The new PlayStation Plus prices are expected to go into effect from August 1.

Norway:
1 Month Subscription: 65 NOK > 85 NOK
3 Month Subscription: 205 NOK > 240 NOK
12 Month Subscription: 485 NOK > 580 NOK

Sweden:
1 Month Subscription: 75 KR > 95 KR
3 Month Subscription: 235 KR > 260 KR
12 Month Subscription: 575 KR > 620 KR

Switzerland:
1 Month Subscription: 7.90 CHF > 9.90 CHF
3 Month Subscription: 24.90 CHF > 27.90 CHF
12 Month Subscription: 59.90CHF > 69.90 CHF

China:
1 Month Subscription: 29 Yuan > 39 Yuan
3 Month Subscription: 69 Yuan > 99 Yuan
12 Month Subscription: 209 Yuan > 239 Yuan

Hong Kong:
1 Month Subscription: HK$38 > HK$48
3 Month Subscription: HK$88 > HK$128
12 Month Subscription: HK$268 > HK$308

Huh... sounds like it's a currency value adjustment to me. Those are some particular european countries that are outside the euro.
