Games You Have Beaten In The Year 2019

[STATS]
Games Beaten: 7
Unique Games Beaten: 7
Platforms: PC: 5, GBA: 1, PS4: 1

1. Batman: Arkham Knight (2015) (PC) - January 1 - 240%! Which means I beat it on New Game+, captured all the villains, found all the Riddler stuff, and completed all the DLC. Fun game. Maybe it's just time, but I actually enjoyed the Batmobile segments a lot more than when I first played it in 2015.
2. Resident Evil 2 (2019) (PC) - January 27 - I'm only gonna list this once, but it's a game you'll probably want to beat multiple times. GREAT GAME! I love how Capcom has reinvigorated this entire franchise once PT pushed them into the right direction. I simply love virtually everything about this game. And the free DLC expansions ontop are such a treat. Can't wait for the inevitable RE3 remake.
3. NieR: Automata (2017) (PC) - March 5 - A good Platinum game! But compared to MGR and Bayonetta, the combat is super light in depth. Still was a pretty fun ride. Just got ending A. Will try for more endings though.
4. Portal 2 (2011) (PC) - April 30 - One of my top 10 games of all time. Love the story, the voice acting, the puzzles. Such a nice advancement of the foundation from the first game. Classic game everyone should play at least once.
5. Metroid: Zero Mission (2004) (GBA) - May 4 - Felt the itch to play a Metroid game. Fusion wasn't quite hitting it, so I went for Zero Mission and had a blast!
6. Day's Gone (2019) (PS4) - June 4 - Was actually pretty good. The hordes are actually kind of impressive for consoles. Gameplay felt like it was just a compilation of all the other open world games out there.
7. Vampire: The Masquerade BLOODLINES (2004) (PC) - August 13 - Amazing old game. Was Tremere and loved every second of it. Can't wait for the sequel next year!

Oh it's this time again! Hmm... i beat 15 games last year. Would be good to tackle at least that much again. I have been trying to cut down on purchases in order to catch up with the backlog. Though sometimes the problem is to just bother. That and i still play quite a bit of WoW.

God of War PS4
Captain toad: treasure tracker 3DS
Kingdom hearts 3 PS4

So, i am still playing some of the end-game side content, but i have beaten God of War on the ps4.

I got a few thoughts. Honestly, i don't think the game is much fun until near the end. It feels like a Dark souls with GoW paint. But, once you get the good armor, skills and weapons, thats when it starts feeling like GoW. But, that part is completely skippable and for the most part Kratos feels like a puny god that gets 2 shot by everything.

I hope next time around they aren't so conservative. Actually, maybe just playing on easy will solve that problem. I just want more GoW than Dark souls, cause honestly, i don't enjoy that type of gameplay and dying all the time.

But hey, still happy it won GOTY. Especially cause theres 2 bonus worlds, wich are basically the end-game + the valkyrie bosses and most companies would sell that as DLC, but they haven't, wich makes this game not feel like a cash grab, but a complete product.

Final verdict: Good, but not great. Make the God feel like a God from the start.

edit: Done the final optional boss. Just not getting the platinum cause i can't be arsed with collectons.

Astebreed. I've had it forever. Don't know why I'm just now beating it.
It doesn't really count, but I played through the "Old Tristram" story line in DIII with the oldschool graphics. I really enjoyed it.

I beat captain toad: treasure tracker on the 3DS.

It's a funny story actually. This isn't a game i'd normally play. My 9 yo niece loved it after trying the demo. I asked my dad to buy it to her for christmas, but being a child, she lost it one day after. Everyone was sad.

So, i went and bought a used copy on my usual game shop, after talking to my sister and basically, it will be my present to her next year. I really wish i could give it to her now, but i usually only go to Portugal once a year on christmas. So, i got the game and tried it out to see how it was.

Story was trash, but it's a sweet game for children. It is basically a puzzle game. They tripled the size from why i understood from the Wii U version. That was the first episode. It was sweet. The second and third episodes dragged on. But it gave the game much needed content for it's price.
Anyways, cute game, nothing special, great for a child. Will help develop those thought processes.

Kingdom hearts 3 on ps4.

You know... the biggest impression i was left with was how the trailers pretty much spoiled most of the story events. I mean even the final fight. The fact the game leaked early is completely irrelevant in retrospect. Nothing unexpected happened outside the epilogue and secret movies wich were in a patch anyways.

Many nods to FF versus XIII too.

Aside from that, the game itself was pretty decent. The Corona, Arendel and pirates of the carabbean worlds were pretty good. They had story and visually impressive scenes.
I was a bit disappointed with Toy story, big hero 6 and Monsters inc. Very passable events.
Olympus was ok.

Ori and the Blind Forest. Finally got around to playing it. Beautiful game and really fun platformer.

Just the A ending and the 'remove OS chip' ending. Pretty fun, but combat is super basic compared to other great Platinum games.

Crackdown 3! Enjoyed it. May up the difficulty and replay it again. I could keep looking for orbs, but what's the point really?
