True in the sense that PSO is just as much of an MMO as Diablo 2 is.

Diablo 2 had the same set up, it just had Battlenet chat instead've a lobby.

Doesn't take much to entertain you guys, I guess. Alucard wins.

And Kazuko...don't bring that "opinion" argument into anything ever again. It just doesn't need to be said.

I guess not, but I know I'd really be in trouble if I liked those shitty Monkey Island games or something.

Never say that again angelo! Those adventure games were what put LucasArts on the map. They are considered some of the greatest adventure games out there. They rock. And to more then a handful of people, unlike PSO.

I was annunciating the point of preference as a judgement factor, one that Xander decided to deem as void based on his personal opinion.

This should all be thought of with a mindset open to the factor of time, particularly the past, you know, like when people tag "-for it's time" to the end of a phrase.

Among the greatest fans of a franchise the term "-for it's time" can be transformed into "timeless" or "a classic".

To discard the factor of preference when judging an openly admitted 'dated' product is just asking for trouble, especially when there are those bearing said preferences present.

Gaming is an entertainment industry, just thought I'd remind you guys with a small lash there.

Preference isnt also the end factor in deciding whats a good game or not. Its whether the game itself is good for what its trying to do. Monkey Island is an adventure game. It does everything well from script to puzzles to control. Brilliant game and EXTREMELY memorable.

A preferential 'good' game would be something like Mario sunshine. Just because Nin thinks its an awesome game doesnt mean it is. Theres more reasons why it isnt good compared to more reasons why it is.

Halo compared to Half life or 10 other fps games. Another example.

Lol, its a debate, No body wins or loses..
And I dont see.. how.. Alucard 'won' he hadnt even answered yet.

It actually takes ALOT to entertain me, Thats WHY I liked PSO,
and Will deffinitly injoy PSU, Stop being so pathetic,
It's come down to personal insults from you,
just because you dont agree with what other people like.

Alucard, my first MMOs were PSO and AO around the sametime..

Much in the same way I find RO to be 100 times more entertaining than Morrowind.

its preference

except in the instance of Halo, which is always crap

If you're gonna compare Morrowind to RO, then perhaps you should think about RO with only you and no other characters around. I wonder which one is more fun now!

RO is one of the worst MMO games up there with Maple Story (if that game even counts)

PSO was alright. It was hacked, so that killed it quickly, but the game was also short, and in my opinion, horribly unbalanced. It was still fun, and I have high hopes for PSU becuase of it. THey just need to fix the length, level design (Randomized please) and item/class balancing, while adding more skills and stuffs.

Also thinking D2 is an MMO is a travesty... Then again so is thinking PSO and GW

I'm tired of playing Devil's Advocate. I can't wait for this game! Who wants to party with me?
