Clive Barker's Jericho Demo

Any thoughts on it guys? This and the witcher are the only two games I see myself picking up. The demo wasn't too short and and provided enough time to mess around with your units powers. Lots of fun

Wasn't impressed. Pretty bland for a horror FPS.

You're joking. The demo was awesome. Looked gorgeous, stage design seemed cool, the different powers of each character was really great. I thought it rocked. Felt like Dark Messiah with guns and psychic powers. This and Witcher are a must for me.

I'll admit that the QT shemue crap was pretty lame, but the fact that you can hop around 3 characters so far at any moment gives the game a fresh appeal compared to most other fps's I've played.

It has alot of depth, unlike halo. All characters play extremely different, unlike halo. The levels arent corridor-corridor-room-corridor-corridor-etc like halo. The graphics arent from 5 years ago like halo. The psychic powers are pretty awesome and theres plenty of them, unlike halo. Theres little cinematic moments during the game that happen while looking out of the characters eyes for added relism effect, unlike halo.

I could go on if you like murray!

There seems to be a recent deluge of shooters with horror themes.

The interplay involved with using each of the psychic powers in the best combat situation appears promising - but, with the exception of the squad-based mechanic, isn't really anything new. Roughly comparable in gameplay function to Deus Ex's Biomods, System Shock's and BioShock's mods etc. If used correctly, it can make the game very strategic, depends on how well they can pull it off.

One thing's for certain - the game's premise of "evil creature wanting to take over the earth and only you can stop it" isn't terribly inspiring - at least, not for me. I'm adopting a wait-and-see approach for this game.

the jericho demo was meh .. looked stunning on my laptop .. but was clearly an average shooter that looked great .. not paying for it thats for sure .. its a torrent job at best, and i guess when its free from torrent it will seem a lot better than it actually is.

this seemed like nothing more than a graphic whores wet dream to be honest. all style and not enough substance for my liking . espically with the orange box just around the corner.. a big fat pass on this one, unless i can be arsed to torrent it at some point
