Maybe move the logo up or shrink it a bit. Get the font called "BankGothic Md BT" and type "Forums" with that. It seems too low and crowded.

And yes, the PS2 game is Batman Begins for the PS2, not Batman Returns as listed.

Although Batman Returns is pretty cool on the Sega CD!

Are you talking about CS2? I can send it to ya if you want. It's working fine, none of that weird cab stuff to deal with (at least I don't think), it's extreamly easy to install with mine.

Here's my effort for a forum banner. I attempted to keep a "realistic" feel to it (as opposed to a hyper-synthetic photoshop job). It's definitely not done yet, but I'd like feedback. The idea is to fill it up with bubbles of VG icons. Ideas for this are very welcome.

I also have a seperate idea for the main banner, but I thought i'd work on this first.

The one with all of the avatars on it needs to have the FORUMS logo on it.

The one Seska submitted is a cool idea and should NOT have the FORUMS logo on it. It should be more for the main site. However I think using current gen controllers may be conceived as a bit out dated. Instead, just use a giant Sega logo since they are the best on all fronts always forever. Also, get rid of the texture gradients on the silhouettes.
i harbored the same thoughts about the controllers becoming outdated, also the AV one is coo, but people change them all the time

Ha ha cool! Remember that the forum banner doesn't need to be that wide, just the main one. Confused? Reread Admin's comments in the very first post of this thread which I quote because he dares not mingle with us lower class members and therefore did not post himself.

oh boy...i have a feeling i'm gonna have to re-do the whole thing.

Update:

I guess I didn't have to redo the whole thing.

I updated the banner, now it's the right size and stuff is also moved around.
The big bubble on the left is empty because I still need to figure out what to put there (it's the biggest bubble, it's the best spot). Other than that, i still need to put more stuff in it.

Please, somebody give me some feedback. This is my first time attempting anything like this.

The thing about avatars is that, while I realize people will change them, it will always be nice to look back on them and maybe remember what we were doing around this time. If people did change their avatars, newcomers wouldn't know what the **** is going on in the banne and would have to stick around to find out. Regardless of what is up there, it represents the community that is very much a part of The Magicbox.

Where can I get that font, Joe?

Number 61 on the list.

Also, I'm playing around with a few ideas for banners and I'm curious, what characters would you guys like to see on a banner?

There are a few of us that stay the same, like me and Nin, and Justin. And DS will most likely have Batman somewhere. Then new people can make a connection with these people and release that alot of the others must be people as well. I think it works fine

Loved it. Just that the logo needs to somehow fit in there in the entirety. Doesnt look good when its cut-off.
