Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires delayed to unannounced date

No longer due out in early 2021.


Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have delayed Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires from its previously planned early 2021 release window to an unannounced date. It will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

Here is Koei Tecmo’s full message on the delay:

Although Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires was initially announced as an early 2021 release, the team is still working hard on delivering the best game possible, so we wanted to let our fans know the current situation and will announce the new launch window in future updates.

We apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued support. In the meantime, check out this first look at a scene from our opening movie (pictured above). Just a taste of what’s to come as we get closer to finishing the game.

One can hope. But, it's not gonna happen.
Unless they change the combat on this one, back to what it used to be. I think they could. The animations are there. It's how to trigger them.
