PS2 Controller Adapter.

Here is a question I need answered. I'm looking to use my PS2 controller on my PC here for a few games and mostly roms but I have no idea what adapter's work best. I always hear mixed opinions about some and thought that maybe you guys would know of a few brands to look at.

I have the trio linker plus which does ps2 dc and gamecube but mostly because those were the three game pads I wanted an adapter for. The trio linker works really well for all three though the ps2 one works the best. I've also had some cheap usb adapters one from radioshack and the other some no name brand. The radioshack didn't work with dance mats but was decent for pads.

I grabbed my old one from lik-sang before they imploded. Shouldnt be too hard to find them though. Theres most likely new ones around. Mind you mabe just buying a 360 joypad wouldbe easier since they work on PCs

or you can gut a xbox breakaway cord and splice it with a usb cord and use that. Really easy project and works pretty well. Strip the cables, match up the wires (except the yellow one, not needed), install xbcd, and it's done

Thats a interesting idea. I think I'll check out ebay and see what the total prices on both ideas will come to. I have plenty of USB cables I could gut to mod with so thats a decent option.

Not sure where since lik-sang closed, but its pretty easy to find a few places with google. Just depends which one you feel happy ordering from. Probably check ebay aswell.
