external HD drives

can anyone recommend one.

i have been looking at this to plug into my iMac to back stuff up on

It's USB 2, but it's also 500 GB for under $150 after rebates.

and then, of course, there is the option to buy an internal HD and then an external enclosure for it. But these two drives so far are probably cheaper than that route.

I've got a pocket sized USB2 hdd. Only 60gig but I got it for portability when I'm taking or grabbing stuff from friends places. The larger ones like the 500gig for example are larger and you also need to plug them into an external power source aswell. Pity they dont have a seagate version. Was never a fan of western digital. Still would be a good buy.
