Dawn of cheaper Steam games Day 1?
So I've noticed that recently a lot of big titles have been releasing at a lower price on Steam, rather than the full RRP which makes buying any game other than on sale a bit of a silly thing to do. Brand new games would always launch at £40 and you could always get them cheaper anywhere else.
But right now, Hitman: Absolution is £26 to pre-order on Steam, while its console counterparts on Amazon are £37 each. Usually games like that are fully priced at £40 on Steam. The PC boxed version on Amazon, which is usually £10 cheaper than the console version, is £24, so a bit cheaper still but not by the usual massive amount. And Max Payne 3 too. It's sitting at £30 on Steam and £27 boxed, with both console versions being £34 brand new, and you got Max Payne 1 & 2 for pre-ordering it which makes that price even nicer. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is yet another, £30 on Steam and £37 boxed for the consoles, and it was priced at something like £20 for that mini Ghost Recon sale. Sleeping Dogs is coming soon and is £26 on Steam, £36 for pre-ordering the console versions on Amazon too. Maybe buying big budget games Day 1 from Steam has suddenly become a viable method? Let's hope it sticks because that was always Steam's biggest weakness, how expensive non-sale games always were. If it does then I'm going to pretty much say bye bye to anything but limited editions basically.

Spider sometimes confuses handed with stealing.
