While I really liked Gurren Lagann (Really, like, I cosplayed from it), I will always love Daibuster way more.

I just finished watching The Good Witch of the West. Its based on a series of novels written by fantasy novelist, Noriko Ogiwara. The tale is about a young common girl named Firiel who receives a gift - a necklace once worn by her estranged mother - from a childhood friend, Rune. Upon being invited to a ball, Firiel discovers that she is of noble blood and must enter a competition to become the future Queen. As the story unravels, Firiel seeks to know more about her father and mother as well as the mysterious sequence of events that are creating conflict amongst members of the aristocracy.

SpoilerAs a fantasy-drama, don't expect much action. This 13 episode series, however, does a fairly good job engrossing the viewer as it unravels the plot and balances roles of the major characters. The art style is simple yet charming and the use of various lighting contrasts and CG is done quite well. Probably one of its most admirable feats is in establishing and building relationships between the characters.

On the downside, it is quite short. Because of its length, the normally steady pace quickens around episode 10 then settles back down in the last few episodes. In my opinion, an extra two episodes could have evened out the pace of the plot a bit better. As for as the ending, it is very idealistic and I was left thinking "wtf?" In spite of the severity of the actions by those driving the crisis, there aren't any consequences to their behavior. Those found guilty are welcomed back as if nothing happened.

Overall, I gave it a 7 out of 10 and recommend watching it if you have the chance.

Diebuster is great, but I can't say I like it more than Gurren Lagann. Personally though, Gunbuster is the greatest (except for Evangelion f course)

Kadokawa Shoten’s Monthly Gundam Ace has finally confirmed that Harutoshi Fukui’s Universal Century novel, Kidou Senshi Gundam Unicorn, will be animated this winter.

This series marks the return to the original Gundam UC timeline and is set in the year UC0096, three years after Char’s Counterattack.

The anime will be headed up by Furuhashi Kazuhiro, whilst the original gundam designs for the novel by Yoshizaku Yasuhiko will be adapted for the series by designer Kumiko Takahashi.

Other mecha will be designed by Yoshinori Sayama and Nobuhiko Genba, and will be based upon Okawara Kunio’s design in the first Gundam series. Senior Sunrise advisor Shinya Ogura will oversee the project.

FINALLY! A good Gundam since stardust! No more of this bullshit teenagers piloting 50 different gundams crap!

awesome I might actually watch it then, I skipped Gundam since Seed.

Anyone watching Mazinger Z? lol I loved the part in episode 3 when Baron Ashura saw Mazinger and wanted to kill it cause it looks like Zeus. Which is what the Z stands for and the old greek statues break apart to be Garada K7 and Doublmas M2! I love the flash back parts to Anicent Greece. can't wait for the next part, I hope this keeps goign on forever! LOVE MAZINGER

I hope the next anime Go Nagai does is the complete Devilman, which still has never been animated. I have all the mangas to the original and the side story of Amon, but I want MOREEEEEEEE same with Violence Jack.

8th MS Team fool.
Stardust Memory rocks as well though.

And while it has kids, Zeta is pretty sweet.

I'll have to admit I never did get to see all of it. Watched about 5-6 eps, loved it, and then the fan subbers at the time went into STUPID mode and took forever. Loved the intro. Really need to get my hands on it.
