bought this game on my trip to new york. They even painted an apartment for the game(near Chinatown/little italy) :

I found new york a cool place but what's up with all the cab drivers lacking personal hygiene? In almost every cab I went they eminated this putrid smell, to the point I became near teary eyed. Some barely even understood english. Next time I visit I'll definitely take a rental :p

Been playing it already and wow, brilliant game. The in-game is a little bit like Fire Emblem, in moving each unit across a tiled map and being fully turn-based, but waaaay more in-depth and fun I think. And like the original XCOM back at the base there's loads of fun management and other stuff like research new upgrades, weapons and buildings, and there's a bit of a storyline I guess. Very challenging too, your soldiers can't take that much of a beating and death = bye bye forever. I've lost 3 people so far, all of which were in the first few missions when I was learning the ropes. Got it nailed now, and actually brought medics to revive critically wounded.

Throw it into the awesome pile along with Dishonored.

That looks really nice, I like the blue a lot more than the red and white. I prefer the original black box though. I remember going from the 60gb, to 40gb, to 80gb MGS4 model, and now my 120gb model.

60 to 40 was the worst because my 60GB would lag on inserting the disc, then when I went to the 80 I had backwards compatibility back, then when I got the slim 120 gb I was satisfied. Every time I got Best Buy's two year warranty plan. I remember it like it was yesterday, I spent around $800 that day back in 2006.

I bought my first PS3 in 2007, it was a 60gb, that broke the day Blazblue came out, the second one I got was a 40gb, it gave me the red screen of death, it was within warranty, so I got it fixed. I sold that model later and got a slim, and then sold that two months ago. Whats really odd is that I've never had any hardware failure on any 360 that I've bought and the PS3 itself is the only console I've had that has actually crapped out on me.

My first PS3 only broke cause of Sony's stupid firmware and then they tried to blame us for it saying we didn't clean the console and blah blah blah.

My first one would freeze and go all wacky before doing it, but after a restart, it would run for hours and they tried to say it was my system overheating, which if it was, it would do it again instead of running for over 6 hours of games and movies at one time.

i think it's an issue all 60gb models had. People all over the forums have it as well. Sucks, because it's the best model.

Guess I'm lucky because my 60 gb ps3 is still alive and kicking. Of course, now that I've posted this it'll crap out on me the next time I use it.
