Good External Enclosures?

I'm thinking of getting a hard drive to accompany my Macbook. I wanna get an internal Seagate and then put it into an external enclosure. The problem is that I don't know where to look other than Newegg! I don't wanna sit and look through hundreds of them, I want someone to show me 10 good ones that run on either USB2 or Firewire.

Why not just buy an external USB drive? You're going to alot of effort your way.

yeah you can get one pretty cheap with 500 GBs.

some of my stores sell them for 100 dollars CDN which is pretty good

Because I like Seagate. I really don't like WD or Maxxtor. I donno, I guess I don't like crap.

P.S. Thanks for being more helpful than Alucard. Who apparently doesn't know much about hard drives.

I've used a few.
Go with a USB2, the firewire usually costs more and there is no real advantage.
I would also recommend the aluminium enclosures over the plastic ones.
They are sturdier and dissipate heat better.
As for brands, I have a couple aluminium NexStar3 ones that are good, I've had bad luck with the plastic versions.
