AVENGERS: ENDGAME RUNTIME IS REPORTEDLY OVER 3 HOURS

AMC Theaters seems to have revealed the runtime early.

How long is Avengers: Endgame? AMC Theaters might have accidentally let that much-discussed runtime slip early. Fans have long been wondering what the length of Avengers: Endgame would be, and it turns out the answer is over three hours.

On the AMC Theaters landing page for Avengers: Endgame, the total running time for the upcoming MCU flick is listed as 3 hours and 2 minutes. IGN has reached out to Disney for confirmation.

This runtime tracks with what directors Joe and Anthony Russo previously teased of the film's length. In November, they said the length of the movie was around 3 hours. Even once the Russos got into the editing room and had a near-finished cut in February, they had said the film was “at the three-hour mark." (It's an even more impressive length when you think about all the additional misleading footage they stuck in the Endgame trailers!)

At 3 hours and 2 minutes, Avengers: Endgame's runtime will make it the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to date. Avengers: Infinity War previously took that mantle, clocking in at 2 hours and 29 minutes.

Considering Endgame serves as the culmination of what is now being referred to as the Infinity Saga, it makes sense that this movie would be substantially longer than any that came before, including Infinity War.

"This is a culmination film of 22 movies, it’s a lot of storytelling to work into it. Emotion is an intrinsic part of that to us," the Russos told Collider of the lengthy runtime. "When you have to tell a really complicated story and you want strong emotional moments with the characters, it just requires a certain amount of real estate. This one, in particular, feels like three hours worth of real estate.”

The plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame reads: "The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."

Directed by the Russos and written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeeley, Avengers: Endgame hits theaters in Australia on April 24, the UK on April 25 and the United States on April 26. If you can't wait that long, here's a rundown of everything you need to know about Avengers: Endgame -- as well as how the ending of Infinity War almost was much different. Be sure to also check out the new Chinese poster for the movie.

being a big marvel fan, it actually feels weird to not get excited for the new movies anymore.
Probably cause the last few movies felt more like fanfics than the source material. Baron Zemo being a little crybaby bitch in civil war. Thor 3... which was more like a MadTV skit.

They claim that people who already know the material won't like seeing the new stuff again which is BS. Cause I read Manga then watch the anime and most manga to anime is almost the exact same. It doesn't stop me from enjoying it that I already know what will happen in it.
That's like saying nobody wants to watch Harry Potter movies cause they are based off of the novels instead of original material.

At least Spider-man into the spider-verse was actually really good... except for Aunt May beating up Tombstone...……. ughhhhhhhhhhh I wish they did his character better, one of my favorite spidey villains got treated like a bitch.
