I dunno. I'm a huge fan of samsung but this one just doesnt look worth it. While gaming performance is great, it does get a little hot, screen is pretty shit, and battery is about 2hours. Theres way better options out there.

The battery on this one is 4 hours bro. The screen is LED and I don't care that its not 1600x900 capable. Heat is not really an issue here too, most of the time it'll be on a table and IF i see that it is overheating I may just get a cooling stand.

NVM I see what you mean about the whole low battery thing, everything else however is up to par for me. This laptop fyi is really only for school and SC2/Diablo III. Knowing Blizzard, this laptop will ball out on this computer's build.

USB 3.0?! The video card is pretty awesome, 4gb of ram+ should be good with an i5 processor. Go for it, ASUS computers are great.

Specs wise its awesome. Amazing price for the power in that. Shame its not an nvidia gpu in there. The battery life though is pretty shit. Not even 2 hours.

Considering it is a Radeon chip, shouldn't the battery life be longer? I guess since its an intel cpu and not an amd one it isn't...

Con that 2 hour battery life is on almost every ASUS computer with a gfx card I've seen.

Not really. Theres others that are double that. Theres even one with an nvidia 335 video card in it, which is about 3/4 of the power at most of the ati one in this laptop, and that goes for like 6 hours I think.

I just bought this laptop. So far so good, even for a gateway. I thought about getting the Toshiba, since basically that is the one I have been using for 4 years, I think for my money I got a better deal with this one.
