700$, that's insane. I've really been out of the loop on parts in the past few years, but that seems ridiculously cheap.

When I built my top-of-the-line PC back in 2004 is cost me nearly double that.

Please don't tell me that pricetag includes the monitor or else I'll be jealous as fuck.

Yeah, that's a damn fine price. Alucard said you reused the GPU and I assume you used the same case?

That I did. The case is from my original build. Its a GM 830 Stacker.

There was nothing wrong with it and its a wonderful case. High customizable and simple to install components with. Plus I am all about saving money.

STILL, I got all my stuff new and including the monitor for about 1.2K. A lot of your parts are equal or better than mine and you came in at nearly 50% the cost. Truly amazing work, sir.

I got my 8800GTS graphics card in summer 2007 and I know I had the computer all through out 2006. So it may have not been 5 years but it has been longer then 3. So from doing the math I have had the computer this many years *hows fingers*

Speaking of numbers I just overlocked my machine today.

My Intel Qaud-Core i5 2.6ghz has been bumped to 3.7ghz by the motherboard.
My Kingston HyperX has also been over clocked to 1600hz. Its default run is 1333hz. The motherboard wants to overclock the ram more to 1960hz. I'm considering it.

You don't want to overclock more than you have to, heat is always an issue.

I agree. Which is why I overclocked only to "good" performance settings. One good thing about my case is airflow. Being a full tower case that leaves a good bit of breathing room. It has one entry fan placed at the front. This fan pulls air in and over the Harddrives.

After that I have the CrossFlow Fan.

Instead of placing this on the mobo tray I attached it to the door. This fan moves so much air it will push my case's side door open when its not snapped in. Also in the door is a standard 120hz case fan. Pulling air into the case from the side grill. This fan blows directly on the PCI components.

Lastly is the fan on the heatsink. Its the standard fan that came with it. Its silent but does well for continuing the circulation of air that comes from the front of the tower and pushing it out the back.

4 years is along time to not do anything to your pc. Funnily enough the card he bought 3 years ago he can probably keep for another 2 years since its already dx10 and the cpu helps boost the performance up. I mean it rips apart bad company 2 and crysis. Usually good engines last 2-3 years easy.

So this time you got your stuff without any problems. I remember you kept having bad luck on some of your packages, Jed.
