Its only better because the previous one were fucking shocking. If you were to get the top 10 character face designs in games, and we're not talking asian games either, skyrim wouldnt be in that list. Its not so much the artists fault but the 3D modeller and texture designers. They arent at the level they should be.

Yep. This time they offered passable levels of design, unlike in previous games, particularly Oblivion, that just gave us horrendously ugly faces.

Heres a nice mod thats popped up. Guy went and changed the lighting and colours to reflect a more realistic world. Did pretty good. Everything has a real world look to it compared to the lifeless dullness of the original skyrim pallet. Looking forward to what changes he makes with this mod down the line.

Looks like just another alternative to FXAA Post Processor mod. Also, you might want to throw up some Before and After tags on your photos.

Thats all it is. The real proper mods havent come out yet that impress me enough. But this is one of the few post processor mods that look really nice. Didnt feel the need to do a before and after tag since before usually comes first in any comparison. Anyone playing the game will know which is the before one too.

Not really. I've been using FXAA Post Processor for so long that I've forgotten what the game originally looked like. I have no idea what this guy considered to be 'realistic' so I couldn't just guess which was modded and what wasn't. I had to go to the site to see which one was original.
Damn lazy Aussie. [Edit] Some new mods I've been using. They aren't graphical, but they are making the game more enjouable: Craftable Arrows - Lets you craft arrows using the Smithing ability. You use 1 ignot and 2 pieces of firewood. A MUST for all archers, otherwise you'll be using shitty arrows throughout the game. Rich Merchants - Merchants usually have 2000 pieces of gold on them per day. Which means to sell your loot from a dungeon, you'll have to go to 2-3 merchants. This lets you sell them all off at one place. Training per Level - Lets you set how many levels you can train a skill per level. I have it set to 20 per level. The default is 5. I haven't done this mod yet, but this one looks promising! SkyUI ![]()

Good find on that rich merchants mod. I usually end up mass storing or dropping stuff rather than travel to a new city to sell or wait 48 hours for merchants to restock. |

official enb mod came out a few days ago for skyrim <3
the current release is a bit buggy. probably best to download now for tweaking purposes (there are no good presets currently available) or wait until the next version comes out, since the whole mod can be toggled off and on. looks amazing. http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/vi....php?f=14&t=17 |

Jesus it looks like a different game almost. Love some of those before and afters. This one just goes from ........ to massively atmospheric.

the only disadvantage is the mod comes with unconfigured settings, and will require some time to get perfect. there are some presets available now, but unfortunately they're not amazing like the screenshots in the gallery. hopefully one of the enb gods (gioknight and dpeasent posted most of the top shots) makes their sets available soon.
so far this was the best i can do based off one of the presets currently available. ![]() before: ![]() |
