A good idea for keyboards.

Its in it's early stages, but they are working on a keyboard that has OLED displays in every key. By doing this, each key lights up and you can not only see it in the dark, but developers can make it where each key changes in symbol for their apps or games. http://www.artlebedev.com/portfolio/optimus/

It'll be very good with shortcuts, especially those that I sometimes forget.

Thats the idea behind it. For example here is the keyboard when Photoshop is running.

What if you use Firefox or netscape. The IE icon will be useless and take a WHOLE key. I like clicking more than typing. If only they made messaging keyboards made to put on your lap.

I wonder if you'll be able to configure you're own shortcuts to the keys. That would be a good idea. I actually find the photoshop key shortcuts a pretty cool idea.

Or for people who love keyboard shortcuts, like me, since... well I don't have the convince of a mouse most of the time.

Trust me, once you start learning keyboard shortcuts and get good with them, things go a lot faster and you realize just how much of a waste of time the mouse is. Unless your gaming.

If they are smart, they'll let you put any app you want on those side keys. That make it handy for customization.

Thats rather nifty, particularly the Photoshop idea. I'd pay to watch my keys change according to the program I'm running.

But I'd be hard pressed to give up my DiNovo for this. Ah luvs it.

I hope that they put the volume control on the keyboard as well. My current keyboard has the little buttons on the side that let me adjust and mute the volume.

I'm just hopeing that they do that. I don't see why they would'nt because not everyone has the applications that they're showing on the keys........well I have most of them, but as for people who don't then they'd be stuck with a photoshop key and hopeing to get it one day.
