Uh...no. It isn't a MMORPG (is *that* what people think are RPGs these days? How sad).

Here's a review of this first game:

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallout/review.html

Difficult to compare it to RPGs these days because most companies won't even make a decent attempt at a spiritual successor to FO.

I meant the whole 3rd person camera view with the ability to customize your characters anyway you want. Also, free roaming and the ability to create your own game.

You customize your characters quite well, and the camera is fixed in isometric setting, very popular style for PC rpgs. Fallout1 and 2 were turn based strategy games. I agree with Decado about FTactics. That game made me cry. I only played about 9 hours of it before refusing to continue it anymore. It was the Fallout whore in me that made me keep playing.

Fallout1 is great. But Fallout2 is one of the greatest games ever created.

Maybe I will shoot over to Target and grab them then. They sell both games in a two pack for like ten bucks.

You need to remember they're a bit old. But they are legendary.

Good thing about Fallout is you wont need an awesome pc to play it! I must stress that Fallout2 once was described as 'How a sequel should be'. Legendary game 2 is. They just added and upped everything in it to the point where you just went DAMN while playing it compared to the first game.

I dont know if the versions on sale are fully patched or not, and they should be but by paranoid side is always winning on any argument, definately make sure its fully updated or go download the patches. The second one definately suffered from SCREW YOU if you didnt patch it.

Fallout 2 will always be remebered as one of the most awesome western RPGs created. What other RPG lets you make meat frikassee out of your enemies by emptying your uzi clip into their face, point blank? What other game lets you play as a female character,s educe a farmer's daughter then be caught in the act to be forced into a shotgun marriage?

And dont get me started on the pornstar perk!

Its just awesome depending what you do, people actually react to you in different ways. Like say you become a pornstar and you're female. The guys will love you and always want to talk to you, getting information or completing quests in sexual ways instead of killing people gets easier. But the girls loathe you. Not will want to talk to you and other missions get hard etc.

You want to know what non-linear rpgs are? You play pc rpgs. They give you freedom not only how your character is created, but what you do aswell!

I dont have a problem with linear RPG's. I actually like them. Maybe im childish, but the kid in me still likes to pretend and go on adventures to save the world.

Games where you make your own character and can do whatever you want dont have much depth as far as story and character development goes. Im not saying they arent fun, but its just a different kind of fun.

My argument for PC RPG's will always be FF6. Ive never seen any kind of PC experince close to what FF6 was for me. PC RPG's are just different.

Well, that can be palmed away by saying non-linear you actually choose what to do to get to the end of the story, sometimes coming across paths you wouldnt have been able to take, but can now cause you did something different int he past. I like Linear, after all I'm a suikoden whore. But I look at FF6 and say legendary game, then I say Fallout, Planescape:Torment. Theres others but I forget. VAMPIRE!! either the first one or the BRILLIANT Bloodlines sequel which owns my soul. Some would say Baldurs Gate aswell. All non-linear, all with story, all with character customization of death.
