i used to work in a hospital and i have seen some pretty bad lacerations as well as compound fractures caused by people texting and driving. i now work as a commercial driver for the local university's transit system. the buses we drive are fairly large vehicles, but i still see people driving the busses around campus whilst texting among other things. last year one of the drivers hit a jogger in the back of the head with one of the side mirrors. had they not been looking down at their phone the jogger never would have been hurt so badly.
