Finally

WoW coming to consoles.. with MOLTEN CORE VERSION...

Check the trailer!! kekekekeke

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/moltencore/

Love the inside joke when someone complained a long time ago about when you skin 1 bear you get aggro of all the others bears around the area.

On a serious note those concept arts of the bosses are cool, I never seen them before. Then again it's hilarious to see such awesome concept arts and then you see the screenshots next to it.

Blizz and his aprils fool's day jokes.

btw if anyone noticed or not, that whole page is almost a huge fuck you to consoles from Blizzard. Each part of the webpage and video has multiple snubs at them. Pure classic.

Ragnaros :p

He was THE first 40 men last boss. Truly an epic fight the first few times with the voice acting and all and the things he said during the fight. Still today most of raiders have that fight in their top 5 most memorable raid boss encounter in wow.(Including me)

BY FIRE BE PURGED!! (Slams his big hammer on the tank, splashes of lava all over the place with epic music in the background)

Actually I'm curious, why havent they tried to expand WoW onto consoles?

the 360 has a HDD right? Shouldnt that be all they need to push patches? It seems to me tapping the vastly larger-than-PC console market with the popular monstrosity that is WoW would just print money.

The p.c is taking a lot of resources my guess would be. Seeing as if today they still eventually fix something that was broken almost 3 years ago (not that it was super relevant or so) but with the major income they have now, I actually believe they think "we don't need it" it's just more headache for something that might not work very well.

Besides blizz is finishing with the 1st expansion and is about to release the 2nd one (probably end of the year) which means new probs again (and more profit once that is release as quitters will come back and probably get new players in ).

I really believe that Blizzard honestly dislikes or even hates consoles. If they really wanted they could have brought a console version. Besides consoles do not need Blizzard and vice versa, since Blizzard games are strictly pure PC-style.

You cant play wow on a console. The memory on them is WAY too little. It just doesnt work. Also NO mmorpg would ever get close to the figures it would reach on a pc, despite its supposed vastly larger-than-PC console market .

Dont use FFXI as an example of WoW being possible for consoles. Blizzard would have to change the entire structure of the game and they cant be bothered wasting their time. Also it wouldnt work with a joystick, like FFXI does. And console gamers have a phobia of learning to use keyboard/mice combinations.

That also..

The graphics may look outdated and cartoony, but in a raid situation things are different when you have 25 people using spells and all not to mentioned when 3 locks 3 mages are aoeing with +10 mobs on the screen (hyjal). And it used to be 40 men (means more mages and warlocks) before the expansion during raids.

Alterac Valley is a big background with 40 alliance vs 40 hordes + npcs that will ask a lot also.

FFXI situation is Square actually built it on/for the ps2 engine IIRC, unlike WoW which was built for the p.c right from day 1.

Would only happen if console MMOs start to show up and then more and more appear as well as the console it΄s made for is mainstream and appeals to most of its users.
For example the Wii is very popular and could be labeled as mainstream in the upcoming years, so if a social simulation MMO was made I΄m pretty sure it would sell like hotcakes.
