those turtles would pwn you.

i like the ritualist, i played it during their pvp test thingy. it was a riot. i still like my monks and rangers though. i just hope the campaign is as good, cause i really like the campaign in guild wars. its big long and actually sorta has a story.

I also played it during the pvp event ( i play the game like everyday... so duh!). I enjoyed the ritualist a whole more than the assassin but rits are begging to be interrupted you will have to carry mantra of concentration all the time :/

Anyways... it took them a year to come up with this expansion, but gail (member of the GW team) already said chapter 3 will come out in 2006 has well
All in all, it feels a bit empty to have only 2 new professions with each expansion but hey... if they throw an Auction House in there i forgive everything

GASP! It almost dosent look medevil. Im almost interested in playing it.

Too bad technology is still nowhere to be found. Still pretty though

I still find this game to be on the poor side of the fence, both in cost and value.
Its like Diablo 2, with pretty graphics.

um...its nothing to do with non=medieval. Remember theres PLENTY of games that arent medieval. Anarchy Online, Neocron, EVE Online, and a dozen modern day and military type stuff.

Oh Alucard-who-knows-of-lots-of-PC-MMORPGS.

Is there a game that has a DEEP sense of community? Like one thing ive always wished for in a MMORPG is a bounty system. Say one player either looted or killed another player.

The victim could go to an in-game BBS and post a bounty out on that mean players head. Bounty hunters could accept the job and hunt this other player down, find him, beat him, and haul him back to town for their reward.

Im not sure what would happen after that though, cause im all out of ideas as to anything the victim could do to the mean person once he was captured. But the concept sounds flippan sweet to me. It could even remove the need for a large GM staff.

And that board you would post bountys on could be for any kind of Job. Say I wanted to pick flowers for some girl. Id post on the board a job to help me pick 100 flowers. I think it would be cool.

I dont care if its medevil or not, id play any game with something like that.

seraph the reason those systems dont exist in games is because of abuse. even if players couldnt pk w/o a bounty, they could still just place a 1 gold (or equivalent minimum bounty) and then just have fun. even if it costs like 1000 gold there are people with no lives who would get rich, bored, then just start placing bounties on everyones head. it would need alot of regulation and the such. but i do like the idea.

PS. anyone know how much factions is going to cost? cause dangit it doesnt seem like they added a whole lot.

WoW plays nothing like Diablo, becuase WoW has jump, isnt point and click, doesn't have insane mana regen, and has alot of skills and twitch at disposal.

If you think EQ plays like Diablo 2, then you haven't played either, or you hate Diablo 2.

Guildwars has the same control setup (though different view becuase of increased graphics) the same Idea that when you level you upgrade certain skills (Though GW has built in synergies and it thus effects all skills of the same tree, This is also the only thing that WoW takes from D2, with its talent trees) Guildwars even plays like it has chat channels in between each mission, called towns with "districts" or channels for anyone who has played games like Starcraft or D2, or any other Bnet game, which isbn't suprising since these are the people who invented Bnet. GW even copied the uninspired PvP of D2, which sadly, is also the main point of the game, and ultimately fails at it. It can also be compared to leveling times. A Hardcore D2 player can get 99 in 1-3 days, same with GW, while other MMOs are 1-3months or more.

Plus GW doesn't really have an internal community like an MMO. There is no real "uber person" And on quests people can disband when then want, becuase it has no negative impact on them, becuase you will never see them again.

In short, GW is not an MMO

the games really fun and alot better at pvp than d2. ALOT better. i actually enjoy the pvp in guild wars, because every class is useful. the necromancer is even useful.
