Star Wars Revenge of the sith for DS

here's the link to the screenshots at ign: http://media.ds.ign.com/media/711/711531/imgs_1.html

let me know what you think the graphics are like, I think it's a tad bit too cartoony in the 2-D parts.

I think it's a rush job and Ubi soft is trying to cash in on the movie tie in.

Terrible, it looks like they spent 3 months to make that game.

Yet another GBA game simply ported to DS in order to cash in on the movie licence.

These developers need a fire lit under their ass.

The DS is capable of sooo much more... Tut tut, madagascar and robots is setting a trend. At the very least the 2-D sections could have been Kirby quality- mmmm...

The Urbz set the trend first. But as unfortunante as it is, get used to it. Since the hardware is near identical, you'll see a lot of "upgrades" (GBA+ to coin a decent term from IGN) while GBA dev is still going on. Just like with the PS2 launch (PS1 upgrades) and the Xbox and Gamecube launch (PS2 ports).

That said this game looks terrible. The 3D is beaten by Starfox 2 on the SNES and the 2D sections are just ugly, for both the GBA and NDS.

Most GBA games are crap because developers saw it as easy money. Hopefully developers take these new portables more seriously.

Whose taking the PSP seriously?

All I see are quick rush jobs and racing/sport games galore. You'll be lucky to find any orginiality in the line-up of games scheduled for the PSP. It's just not feasible to spend multi-millions on a PSP title because they are selling like crap, there hasn't been a new PSP game in the top 10 in Japan in the last 3 weeks.

And with titles like these for the DS, don't expect this to be a trend. Read the interview with EA about Sims 2 on the DS. They admitted they rushed Urbz for the DS launch and only enchanced the GBA version so they could get it out on time. But as the GBA starts to fade out and the DS becomes the dominate force in the handheld world (it's already happening) it's going to see more games build from the ground up for with the hardware in mind.

This is simple another case where they just built off the GBA version. Since the GBA is on it's way out this time next year, it would be irrational to think these types of games will continue to come out, especially from hugh publishers like EA and Ubisoft.
