I guess we'll see whenever it releases, but Nintendo have done all they can to keep that price down. Here's to hoping it all pays off.

I remember when Nintendo said the Wii would not cost over $300. So everyone was guessing $250 for the Gamecube v. 2 console but then they finally announced the price and it was what they promised. One dollar short of $300.

Wii launched at $250.

In fact I went on Amazon and found my actual purchase of it at launch, it was $250 + $8.xx shipping.

Maybe I am having a brain fart. They must have said no more than $250. And I am getting the $300 figure from the Xbox Arcade system that was available at the time.

I wonder how much they're making those WiiU gamepads for. Because I see how ridiculous the ipad goes for and the technology seems some what pricey. Makes me not want to spend more then $300 for something that's in HD and portable.

WOW, how cheap Amazon made you pay for shipping on hardware.

Actually I got that shipping refunded lol I noticed that after I posted it, it was free shipping.

I think they made some mistake or I did or something. But Amazon's been offering free shipping on products over $25 for years. It's supposed to be slower shipping but I remember getting the console like 1 or 2 days before it hit stores still, not bad.

Wasn't the 3DS $250 as well? Honestly, with the dusty, 10-year old technology in the Wii U it should be $100.

I'm a sucker for launch things. I imagine I'll pre-order from Amazon when I can. No more pre-ordering from Game Stop for me.

yah I order most of my games from amazon as well, it's very easy to return for a refund from them, they aren't like gamestop and ask for ID every time.

I returned stuff that wasn't even opened and they still asked for ID even tho I had the receipt. The guy who runs it even knows me! But he has to do it or he would get in trouble from HQ.

The only good thing is that since the guy knows me, I don't have to preorder anything I just tell him if I want one and he holds it for me cause he knows I'm going to get it.
