hey my fav antivirus program ANTIVIR sucks now

im so pissed off, they changed Antivir my fav antivirus program and it takes up a HUGE amount of resources, I had to remove it cuz its slowing my PC down too much

so now I just got AVG instead of ANTIVIR and AVG combo

but whatever, I have to reformat this thing so much that it doesnt really matter

i'm all for kasperski and spysweeper these days.

spysweeper is cool too as it allows you to control your startup programs without entering msconfig.

But doesn't spysweeper cost $? Ad-aware works very good with me on spyware.

I use AVG 7.1. Good stuff. I think you have to pay for it once your 30 day thingy is over, though

Used to be completely free, at one point.

AHHA If you have been reading the Counter Strike Source is Good thread, I siad my PC was slowing down. Well, I recently installed the new version of AntiVIR, and thats what has been slowing me down, after I uninstalled that and defraged my PC, my PC worked fine again. To re-install CS:S I go!

It sucks very little. One of the best out there. Firewall is also the easiest I've ever used. Price is decent considering you'll have it for a year. Just go buy it already!

ive noticed that zone alarm has taken over my computer as the port access program- nothing works unless i allow them through zone alarm, and have it always switched on.

also i think if your games fails with your firewall software on, get more RAM! i thought 1gb was enough to run battlefield with all the patches- turns out it was sucking up lots of my compuiters resources, get a RAM optimiser program- it seems to make things run smoother, at least it has for me.

Zone alarm is great. The firewall for pc-cillin lets me block every port and then decde which ports are open for which program and it stays that way automatically forever till I change it. Its alot better then having to constantly say allow disallow whenever zone alarm hops up and prods for something.

You're too late gambini, I downloaded it a good while ago. It isn't bad and it isn't good (pc-cillin). but for some damn reason I had to uninstall the antivirus part of my mcafee to install pc-cillin, so I said screw it and got rid of it, anyways my antivirus was doing better anyways.
