Nice! I still wanna know why they changed the name of the monster from Cetus to Kraken.

As the Kraken was never in Greek Myth and is closer to Norse Myth. Though never featured in either. Tales originally started in Iceland apprantly there is a Bermuda Triangle like area nearby.

Yeah, I wonder why they didn't just use a real titan. It's weird how it's based on Greek mythology but changes so much or gets it wrong. Still makes for a great movie, but it wouldn't have been hard at all to make it more accurate.

4.0.1 also recalculated how they determine signal strength. But everyone knows they 'recalculated' it to display at least a bar when you have shitty reception. It's all in response to the iPhone 4 antennae fiasco.

How was the transfer on Clash of the Titans eastx?

It's one of the few released blu-ray movies, I haven't replaced the dvd version of yet.

Dammit, Drift is out of stock! Thanks though, they have some decent prices on a lot of Transformers, oh well, off to Toys R Us in a few hours.

Off Steam, and getting all the DLC too. 50% off, can't grumble at that.

That's the new one Alucard, I was talking about the 1981 version.

I found some consumer reviews for it on that same site though, so thanks for the link.

Clash of the Titans is pretty grainy. I think it's true to the source material and shows tons of detail, but some people would prefer the grain had been reduced.

Reducing grain destroys the image. You must literally get rid of detail. If you don't like grain, punch yourself in the eyeballs so they can't focus very well.

I think too much grain kills the picture. I mean when we look around with our eyes we dont see grain. When I'm watching high def sports coverage or whatever I dont see grain. But in some movies the grain is all over the place. I want to see pores on the faces, not grain on top of pores. I know this is how film works but surely if we can send cameras out of our solar system we can at least figure a way to remove grain and keep the detail. I mean seriously. Why arent magazine covers or large photos all grainy.

Think about it. When you remove a spec of grain from an image, there is nothing left under that image. You can't make new detail. Many old films are inherently grainy due to film stock and other factors and the grain can't be replaced without a loss of detail.
