I logged in for a few hours today. It was a lot of fun creating a new character and seeing more of the game. I did give some harsh feedback on some of the intro quests. There was a ton of events happening at once and some instances were very short, boring, and too easy. However; not all of them were like this. I had a lot of fun exploring and defeating waves of enemies in a lot of the quests.
![]() ![]() ![]() I played an Asura Ranger who has a choice of pets, in which case I chose the leopard/lion. It's really shaping up, all the menus are easy to use and the combat/controls feels very smooth. The last time I beta tested GW2 it was very laggy and some things felt missing. It feels a lot like WoW with the movement of the characters, you can jump on platforms and maneuver anywhere. |

I just got kicked out and can't log back in. Honestly, I don't care much about the PvE, for this game I'm all about the PvP, which is shaping up to be epic. My only problem is low FPS in concentrated areas. There's a problem where the game is heavily CPU bound and only uses 10-20% of the GPU. So for now I play with everything on low except for AA, since without that the game looks like shit imo.

Usually betas like this have a shitload of programs running in the background as debug stuff which kill performance. I cant imagine this game running badly though at release.
