The Witcher

This game is moving at far too slow a pace for my liking. I Want it.

Think Oblivion. The game is also using the NWN2 engine. Some cool stuff, it has 3 endings depending on how you play, good, normal, or evil ending. As for a release, god knows. Maybe end of the year.

Eh, graphically I'm very unimpressed. Models and envioronments look like they were taken out of Soul Reaver, or Hitman. Outdoors are a little better, but not my much.

Game itself could be good, but we'll see.

Europe likes medieval. Japan likes scifi-medieval, a genre that honestly makes zero sense. Why charge someone with a sword when they're holding a gun that takes out mountains? I DUNNO!!

Yeah its a pretty one that last shot.

Europe lives in medieval. How could they want more of the same? besides..whats wrong with that chick. If you study the left side of her face..you see a man's face..and that guard is falling right into the trap!

its not really the guns/swords thing alucard,

the clothing, the architecture, the envornments. its ripped straight out of history books, and to me shows no imagination.

Well thats because they're going for that look. In a medieval setting, with swords and armour and castles, I dont want to see space age outfits. I want a proper historical setting so the FEEL is medieval. If the feel aint there, its not acurate and therefore the world doesnt feel as real.

Well if they are going for Medeval, then they are doing a good job. But its become as bad as WW2 shooters. game after game after game in the exact same setting gets kinda old.

im not saying the fantasy has to be space age like PSO. But at least different. In Ragnarok online, you have tons of unique monsters, all the job classes and characters have unique clothing (well except knights). The worlds and envornments in that game are diverse as crap.

Its possible to be fantasy without ripping a page out of history books.

It is this done this way so the player is comfortable with the environment and it ensures continuity in the structures as real civilizations, that the user has definetly not seen, nor can problly even spell, lived with them. The creativity comes with how you integrate them into the time period that the game takes place.
