Xenoblade - New Monolith RPG for Wii

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/sx4j/index.html

Dare I hope?

If this is a new Xeno game (and the music is excellent on the site), then consider it a Wii purchase for me. I've been thinking about one for the past few months anyway, this would seal the deal.

I'm kinda disappointed. I was hoping for some Xeno story continuity in glorius HD treatment.

I recently finished Xenosaga Ep3 and looking at the direction they were taking with the story this will probably be a prequal on the origin of the Xenosaga Universe. But its just me guessing based on the trailers we watched so far, the name Xenoblade: Genesis and the heavy reference about this era towards the end of Xenosaga 3.
One can only say after playing it.

Namco didnt get the rights to Xenogears so i doubt nintendo has for Xenosaga.

It's just a clever play with words and tbh the author of the series is the guy on monolithic. What use would it be to persue a case if theres only the one guy that has the series in his head. Its not like Square and Namco can just continue them by themselves. People will know its not it.

Wonder if this will be episodes 4-6 now. Either way i stoped following the series. Xenogears was awesome but Xenosaga had something lacking... it was just like a bad movie, it didnt have a world.

The difference is Namco never brought anything. Monolith is simply made up of former Xenogears developers.

Nintendo actually paid money for Monolith and DDOC.

maybe.. but it gives me a feeling the game will be about a 10 year old anime kid saving the world w/ the power of the legendary XENOBLADE.

The release date is spring 2010, it is too soon to be a RPG developed from scratch. Maybe it is just a port of Xenosaga with a few tweaks?

if you look at screens and video on Monado - it doesn't look anything like a Xenogears/saga game tho...

but Tetsuya Takahashi is involved, and he directed the Xeno-series

hmm...

Ok, then most likely the Xenosaga brand is on monolith's hands.

Makes sense they wouldnt repeat the same mistake.

Baten Katos and Origins were pretty decent along with Dragon Ball Kai: Attack of the Saiyans. Lets hope that this title doesn't turn into a train wreck like disc 2 of Xenogears and Xenosaga Episode II.
