The Japanese Saturn was given to me by a friend. I need to get a converter cart, like Action Replay or something, so I can play US Saturn games. I had a Saturn back in the day with a large collection of games, but sold it. There are some carts that came with the Saturn that look like converter carts, but they don't seem to work.

I'm not sure if you've seen any of the reviews for it yet, Eurogamer 9, IGN UK 9. If it's out in Australia now you should pick it up.
I was going by your description since I actually hadnt heard about this game. I thought it was an rpg at first. After watching a video of the demo on youtube I'm confused. Its a port of an N64 game, so its not new. The graphics are fairly eye bleeding as is the music painful. I'm confused. Maybe its for people who love all things Treasure shooter related. Even if that game had state of the art graphics, the actual gameplay doesnt look like something I'd probably enjoy so I'll pass on it.

Havoc 20445 you can fairly easily install a region switch on that Saturn. That way you can play that copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga that is on display. I have both that game and Snatcher, but I hide them among crappy games so the burglars will never find them!!!!

They did a pretty poor job with the engine. Theres indie developers out there who have made better looking engines and they dont even sell their games.

It's really good, once you click with the controls it's really intuative and the enemy patterns are really hypnotic. There's loads of bosses, music is synth'y slap bass stuff that gets stuck in your head, anybody that likes shmups needs to get it. I'm not suprised Alucard doesn't like the look of it, he doesn't seem to like anything these days.

Like I said, its a Treasure fans game. I'm not a big fan of the stuff they put out. Just not my thing. I never said that were crap, theres a difference there. Watching the GAMEPLAY doesnt look like my thing. I dont need to play it to know how that will play.

If my friend gets it and he puts it on I'll give it a try. He seems to love the treasure games and all other obscure shootemups from japan. Not that he ever completes them. I think only 2 games have ever surprised me into changing my mind.
