Hot Pursuit 2 is a fun, despite not being an overly flashy game.
It's the last of the trad NFS games.

The games look like they are in great shape. Not to mention the controllers look as if they just came out of the box. I always thought the names of the older games were a lot better.

The Phantasie trilogy, along with the first few Ultima's and Wizardry's is what inspired Japanese game developers to start making RPG's. The gameplay mechanics in Phantasie is set up just like older JRPG's, except with western artwork. You have a 2D overland map and your party is represented by a single avatar and then when you meet an enemy, it switches to a turn based close-up of the combat and all the enemies and your party are represented on screen. Your party even does a little victory dance when they win, the first RPG to ever do that.

Because of the popularity of the Ultima, Wizardry, Bard's Tale, Dungeon Master and SSI AD&D games though, western RPG developers went that route, while Japanese RPG developers took the mechanics of Phantasie, combined them with japanese anime style artwork and thus the JRPG was born. It's pretty interesting how it all worked out.

That's very interesting. The whole idea of mixing math and combat always reminded me that western rpgs were more towards the D&D format and JRPGs are what sparked the genre above its resting point. I had one guy tell me the hard times Working Designs went through. Though having a computer programmer turned video game designer. Their workers I guess didn't have it so great. But then again it was from a GameStop employee with a SSSC shirt on.

Yes. For your web browser be sure to download the Atomic Web browser. It is much better than the default Safari p.o.s. and far faster. You can get a free version, but the full-featured version is 99 cents and allows you to have bookmarks and some other things you might take for granted.

If you have Twitter, then the official Twitter app is really good. The Facebook app is awful.

A lot of people recommend Pandora for listening to streaming music. I've only used it a couple of times since I just download any music I want anyway.

Soundhound is a great app where it listens to music in the room and identifies it. It works really well! There was a song in a trailer that I wanted to identify, so I just held up my iPod Touch (with mic attached) and it correctly names the song and band. This allowed me to then STEAL the music, denying the band as much funds as possible which made me very happy. You can do this 5 times per mnth with the free version. If you pay you can do it unlimited times. There is no way I'd ever need to use it more than 5 times a month so the free version is fine for me. There is also an app by a different name that does the same thing, but Soundhound is better.

For a free game, try Trace. Not much to look at and a bit infuriating at times, but it can be pretty fun. Kind of like the first Kirby DS game where you draw lines. It's free.
