Word of warning - only 4 of the 5 chapters are on the disc. The last one you have to download. It's bullshit.

Picked up a cheap laptop for datalogging the Mustang and remembered you can stream Xb1 games on Windows 10. Works great. I was also surprised most of my shmups on Steam will run on it.

umm, switch, Zelda SE, pro controller, bomberman r and snipperclips.

Zelda is too damn addicting, I have barely touched the other 2 games.

As a last ditch effort to give my old ass pc another year or so, I picked up an RX 480 to replace my HD 6870. I wasn't expecting a tremendous increase in performance as the little research I'd done said the Q9300 was going to bottleneck the system. I was hoping against hope for high settings in Doom. I was getting 10-13 fps on ultra settings with the old config. New card netted me 119-120 fps! I was shocked. Heaven benchmark went from 422 to 1265. The avg. frame rate was 16 now it's 50. I'm very pleased with the results. The only kinda negative, is now I want a Freesync monitor. Lol!

my brother wanted a cheaper powerful system, so I built him one with the 480 and got a asus freesync monitor when it was on sale for 199.99, it is indeed awesome for the price. You won't regret the monitor if you can get one fairly cheaper, games look great with it.

They go on sale all the time, so best to wait till then.

It was funny when my brother first set it up and he was like, OHHH it is sooo awesome looking, I can see the smoothness......

I go to him, ummm, I didn't turn on the 144hz and freesync yet.... lol

I've seen some in the $150 range. I bought my current monitor when Diablo III first came out so it's almost 5 years old. I think I got my money's worth outta it.

The monitor I have, I got for 99 dollars CDN, which is like 69.99 dollars in the states. Had it for quite a while, I'm thinking around 10 years at least now, cause my last monitor before it... my old CRT from 1998 lolol

I get my money's worth out of all of my stuff. I even used my old PC with AGP till you couldn't do anything anymore with it, but by then, I got PCI-e 3.0, so the upgrade was HUGE to me.

Gawd, I'm so damn cheap. lol

Adaptive framerate monitors are awesome. Get one. I haven't seen tearing in video games in over a year, despite pushing 140+ fps in many games. I feel so weird whenever I see it on my other monitors now...or when I watch a stream/vod and I see it.

First part of my new PC....man, I don't remember stressing out over buying a new PC in 2011. But then again, this PC is way, way more expensive. It's going to be built to last 7-10 years.
