Yeah 4kids and Viz edited One Piece and Detective Conan so bad they were doomed to fail from the start.

It's a shame hopefully someday someone else will re-license them hopefully someone that doesn't suck as badly as those two.

HURRAY! well I was going to say, that's a lot of editing on One Piece they would have to do in the later episodes from their way of editting, anything violent

Well I finally buckeled under the pressure, and bought a GUyver TV boxset (import, **** ADVs $30 a dvd price)..

Just couldn't stand not having anything subbed episode18+, and since its the Guyver, I really dont mind.

Except for the fact a few days later I found the whole show on youTube...

I got my fansub of OP so I'm fine, I would only buy box sets over here if they were set at a good price and have a good amount of episodes on them.

Who the hell would want to buy a almost 300 + series on 3 episodes a DVD for 30 bucks each?

That's why I'm glad I never bought any Dragonball Z dvds.

I both love and hate OVAs. When they're good they're awesome, but they're rarely good and take FOREVER to finish.

Has Karras finished yet? Seems I've been waiting for it forever.

OVAs most of the time are just quick cash for companies.

Like a 3 episode OVA, why not just make a movie? cause they want to sell 3 DVDs with 1 episode each :yuck:

well it was VHS in the 80s but you know what I mean, why they make OVAs in Japan, it's usually 1 -2 Episodes per release.

Mazinkaiser OVA in Japan is on 8 dvds, 7 episodes and 1, 50 minute movie.
