Seriously Blizzard, all it is takes is for you to let people play this offline and your problems are solved.
Honestly; if you have a constant internet connection you should be fine. lol I sound like Blizzard. But yeah, minor hiccups and the game runs just fine. I find myself getting disconnected less often then before when I kept the client idle for a while.

I find it strange they are going through all of these problems. I also don't get why it's really needed for you be online just to play the single player mode. I guess their new DRM setup is shit...

I think the justification for always online DRM is that it protects Diablo 3's economy. While online economies can actually affect how much fun you have in a game, I think it's a valid security measure to ensure that game's economy is secure. I guess the question is: Is having an economy within Diablo III worth the always online DRM?

Yeah its mostly to do with the economy and anti-cheating etc. Most people playing this game will be doing it with friends anyway. Its like those people bitching about having to be online to play it, then bitching that they cant play with their friends in it cause teh servers are down. Like..... what?

People will bitch about anything. Always online DRM is fine until servers fail, and then the shit really hits the fan. If your game is having always-online DRM, your servers should be three times as capable to handle the game as you should need and Blizzard should have prepared a bit better. No one would care about Diablo's DRM if the launch went smooth and everyone could play without fault.

Unless the game is like 6 hours long, you are not casual if you complete it in a day or two. You're way above casual. If you want to know what a casual is they're usually the ones who play 1-2hours a day, ie me.
