Capcom on the possibility of more Street Fighter titles for Switch, views system as “important platform for all types of games”

Capcom isn’t ruling out more Street Fighter games for Switch. In a recent interview with USgamer, series producer Yoshinori Ono said the company “would consider” Nintendo’s console if there’s “another opportunity that makes sense for us”. Ono also indicated that Ultra Street Fighter II and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection were financially successful.

Ono also has a positive outlook when it comes to Switch overall. Capcom views the system “as an important platform for all types of games,” he said.

Ono shared the following when asked for his thoughts about Switch in terms of Street Fighter and fighting games in general:

“Since the Switch came out, we’ve released Ultra Street Fighter II and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection for that platform. From a business standpoint, these two titles were a success. We are seeing many competitive titles, including Smash Bros., doing well on Switch and players are enjoying those types of experiences on that platform. If there is another opportunity that makes sense for us, we would consider the Switch again. Regarding Street Fighter 5, it is currently exclusive to PS4 and PC. However, as mentioned above, we do see Switch as an important platform for all types of games.”

This just means they might port SFV or SFIV.

No chance SF6 will be on the switch. They won't go backwards in terms of graphics.

that isn't a bad idea really. Capcom has so many characters that a fighting game with tons of them would be awesome.

You know... the thing is they already did that.

Was called Capcom fighting evolution, i believe, and it wasn't very well received.
I am hoping for a capcom vs snk 3, but not necessarely on switch per se.

Don't remember it. After looking at Screenshots... not exactly the same thing, it's still mostly Street Fighter and then some Darkstalkers.

I didnt say they made a good job of it. XD

I'm sure they could make a better roster, but i think that game is the reason why they don't.

There was another game called Capcom fighting all-star for arcade and it was canned, mainly because it was in 3D?
