Every game on steam doesnt need discs. You just download and play.

Buccaneer actually looks pretty cool. I think I'll grab it. Fact its only made by 2 guys is extremely impressive.

Today's deals:

Oddworld Pack $2.50
Tales of Monkey Island Complete Pack $11.90

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising $4.50
King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame $13.60
Order of War $10.20
Joint Operations: Combined Arms Gold $5
Dogfighter $8.49
Europa Universalis $66% off

Dogfighter is like Crimson Skies, supports Steam Cloud, Achievements, controllers, etc., and only just came out recently. Good deal on such a new game.

Got the Oddworld pack, I've only gotten to play bits and pieces of the series over the years. Great deal tbh. I was all set to get the Gothic pack, but I had some technical issues.

My Dogfighter impressions:

This is a multiplayer-centric game. Single-player is just the multiplayer modes with bots. A tutorial would be nice, but there are various help screens you can read to learn what the items do and such.

This game has beautiful graphics and well-designed stages. It also has terribly generic rock music. I'm fine with guitar-centric music, but Dogfighter's soundtrack got old after only one game and I had to turn it off.

Right now, mouse and keyboard is the only way to play. The Xbox 360 controls are terrible! Menu navigation is an absolute chore because of the devs have set the analog sticks to emulate the mouse. The more traditional approach of just instantly scrolling through whatever is clickable would be so much better.

The navigation problem is especially apparent when you die and have to respawn. Forcing gamepad users to slowly scroll the pointer to highlight 'Respawn' and then click it is ridiculous. Respawning (on a controller) should be initiated by pressing A or Start or something.

The good news is they are adding flightstick controls and gamepad controls are likely to get an overhaul. This game has a lot of potential, but it might be a month or two before it's unlocked.

That's not what I meant. I meant that as per my previous thread that when I tried to install the game from the discs and play it the game didn't work even after being patched.

Instead I bought KOTOR off the Steam store and it worked perfectly the first time!

Heh, there are a few games on Steam that don't work with Windows 7. I forget which ones though.

Titan Quest is a great Greek mythology-themed Diablo clone. Dawn of War 2 & its expansion are fantastic, easy to play RTS/RPG hybrids. Dawn of War 1 is a straight RTS, I believe. Red Faction Guerilla is a very good FPS. And Metro 2033 just came out and people seem to like it too... So the pack is a great buy if you'd play those games.

Also I just noticed some weiner named Alucard has his Steam profile set to private. Weaksauce!
