It's a valid opinion. The styles are completely different and, to be honest, more varied on the console side.

Vista will be more then worth it once we are sure its fully stable. Its the only way to enjoy DX10 games, and if you've screen the screenshots in the pc section for DX10 stuff you know yu'll be upgrading it as soon as its worth grabbing.

The scary thing is, that if M$ didn't enter the console industry and was putting that kind of effort into re-establilshing PC gaming, I'd be on their side

Makes ya wonder how real the GoW screenshots are.

I think they realised that. The X06 conference had a few PC titles and i think with vista they?ll encourage developers to make more PC games.

Microsoft gets a share of the profits for both Xbox licensed products and Games for Windows licensed products. I don't see why they wouldn't try to sell both.

"Games for Windows" is a Microsoft Platform for Windows Vista.

Its connected to the LiveAnywhere intiative in which Microsoft is expanding Xbox Live to Windows-based PCs and the Windows-based/Java-based Mobile Phone market.

It doesnt matter, its still open suorce. People do NOT pay microsoft royalties. Thats why theres a crapload of people making their own games for it. Only consoles have royalties. Why do you think windows costs so much instead of being free with pcs or a small amount? Microsoft doesnt make or design or pay companies to create the PC hardware we buy. Open Source.
