Whats your fav PC activity?

OK today i just finished ordering the final parts for my new PC and am waiting now for the deliveries and shipments to come in...Finally [phew]

now setting the thing up is easy but the amount of power i'm going to get from my new PC is gonna be daunting...

I mean ive never owned a PC with more than a 800 mhz processor and 20g HD space and 128 RAM

now ive got 3.8 ghz AMD, 1.024 Gb Ram and 400 Gig HD space.

so i would like to know how MB'ers spend their time with such speccy equipment.

what programs are essentiall?
what download sites are the best for movies-mp3's
wheres the best anime and simpsons, south park and futurama episodes for example?

ive got loads of space to fill up- so whats your HDD's cluterred up with???

i ideally want to crash the thing in a minimum of 3 months

please help-

Just write "Porn" in Google.

And nothing else matters.

www.animesuki.com is a good place to start for anime.

Watching Anime is my prefered activity on the PC. I suppose surfing the web is the second (god, i hate how im always wasting time in forums. Its addictive.)

Having a new computer is very rewarding, but dont get too hooked on it like I am right now! I usually spend my time downloading stuff. I watch a lot of anime and like Nem said, www.animesuki.com is a nice place to start. All those files are hosted with Bittorrent (p2p prog. You can get almost anything you want with this). You can also try www.baka-updates.com for some other anime title animesuki doesnt list Ohh and check out www.isohunt.com to search for some other goodies ;)

I hope you plan to play games with that beast instead of just mess with the internet. Also important stuff are virus scanners/firewalls. Dont even bother setting up your PC if you dont have these. If you dont mind paying $40 a year or whatever, subscribe to PC-Cillin. If you have issues with spending money to keep your system protected, go grab AVG scanner.

Firefox is also a great browser to have as a side thing. I alternate between it and I for specific sites. This place always gets firefox since the tabs are awesome and they dont open a new browser window. Bitorrent is gods gift. Learn where the best sites are, and thats fairly easy to do by using google and checking up best bitorrent sites or whatever. Ahh theres too much crap. ACDSee is an excellent picture viewer. Flashget is an awesome download program. blahblah

It would actually it would be only 1GB of ram. If you look at some stuff it all doubles then once it hits 512 and they double it they just make it 1 again. But Alucard is right, get a firewall and virus scan to protect your computer. Then get Firefox, so you wont get any pop ups. Then you can look at porno and not get any other pop ups that will piss you have. Then after you got all of that then go buy WoW.

Adaware SE, is a good spy ware remover... though if you only use Firefox, you actually dont get much spyware, so it might be useless. DvD shrink is an awesome tool to burn your already bought DvDs (or Rentals) to your HDD. With a 300GB HDD, i have over 30movies (plus 100+ anime bittorrent Dl's) and still have 100GB left! If your lazy like me, not having to get up and stick in a new DvD is a lifesaver. Thats about all i have to offer to whats already been said.

I'm guessing you dont plan to play games if you're gonna try and fill up all those slots with harddrives. This sounds more like an evil porn/tv show/music download machine!

Just cuz u have 7 HDD's doesnt mean the computer isnt used for Games. It just takes 2 slots (2x WD 10000RPM Raptors Raid0) to have games, and of course a DvD drive!(i guess thats 3, though poor people could use 2, 1HDD, 1DvD drive)

After that u need a sweet processor and a screaming video card. He has the processor, but what Videocard u got, Final Solace2?
