Another Yakuza

So this is 7th Yakuza IIRC, if you include the samurai one and Dead Souls.

Yakuza: 7
Shenmue 3: 0

I honestly feel like I'm being trolled.

There is actually two on the PSP aswell.

Yakuza 5 looks nice though shame I have a feeling it's not gonna find it's way over this time.

The sales of the yakuza series are getting lower aswell due to series fatigue.

Yakuza 3 sold better than yakuza 4 and dead souls sold almost half of those.

It's no surprise Dead Souls did so badly. I'm a fan of the series and I didn't even bother renting it.

Yakuza 5 / Ryu ga Gotoku 5 will be using new engine. Hopefully it will improve the gameplay significantly.

gameplay isn't improved by using a new engine... that's up to the designers/programmers

It hit me why they are doing this.

Instead of making shenmue 3, they made Binary Domain, wich despite beeing a good game sold poorly. They had no choice but to make another Yakuza because it garantees revenue.

This has probably been in the works since before Binary Domain was even released. So I doubt that's the reason why, though you are right, Binary Domain flopped badly. Shame too, I actually quite enjoyed the game. It just wasn't very memorable or anything. Nothing special about it.
