Yeah, 32-bit is a waste of time and just keeps people's systems from operating at maximum efficiency.

Also, I think Windows 8 is going to be rad.

Too many programs out there that use 32bit. Besides most of the time you wont see any difference between the two, except for certain programs. Windows 8 loads up in half the time of Win7. Sometimes faster depending on specs. So lets say win7 takes 18 seconds. This thing opens up in like 8.

I'm actually excited for windows 8, I'm wondering if tablets like the Asus eee pad transformer will come out with one. That would be awesome.

So the game plan here is to make a windows that doesn't behave like windows? Step in the right direction I suppose.

i'll wait for windows 9. this is probably gonna end up like windows me and windows vista; unoptimized and full of bugs.

if anyone's interested in trying out a preview build: http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/13/w...e-to-download/

When we will get newer File System ? NTFS is good but it's already past a decade and need to be replace.

I'm thinking of a file system which can compressing data to the max and not forcing us to do defragmenting every month (although it's not a mandatory but defragmenting surely help the file system at the best condition in previous Windows)

I'm putting windows 8 on a netbook that I got for free, windows 7 starter sucks balls. So it's no lost since I'm not backing it up if it messes up

OK I downloaded it and I really don't see much of a difference between it and Windows 7 aside from the START button. Is there something wrong with Windows 7 that it needs to be replaced so soon? This is a service pack upgrade at best. This should be Windows 7.1.

Its not really a win7 replacement. Its basically streamlining it to work on netbooks and tablets, thats the primary reason for 8. Less resources, different ways of doing certain things, inbuilt touch control etcetc.
