Gonna buy Counter Strike Source and Chronicles of Riddick when money transfers (Riddick is an awesome film), and maybe Bioshock 2 and The Witcher.

Just 10 for CSS and Riddick. Hot.

Ghostbusters for $4 is a good deal if you liked the films. It'll probably be the closest thing we'll get to a Ghostbusters 3 and, in my opinion, the story was way better than the second.

Picked up Rocket Knight, Trine, the Overlord Package, the MTG expantion, Serious Sam, Ghost busters, Sniper Elite $4.99, etc... wow, these are real good deals for those interested in some summer gaming. If I somehow get online, which I am now. I use the same screen name for steam.

I should have gotten the Overlord pack. I liked the first game a bit and for five bucks it's not exacly a painful investment. Oh well.

Cant really make a perfect example since borderlands uses online to distract you from its poorness by playing with friends. It doesnt even have a story. Its basically what phantasy star online is to the MMO genre.

So then there aren't better alternatives, like you said. The beauty of Borderlands is running around with your friends in a FPS. No one cares about the story, like 90% of all FPS out there.

You're talking about 2 different things now. You said fps/rpg hybrid. Thats where I'd lock in the story/single player comparisons. If you want online only since thats all borderlands is even remotely decent for, then you're going to have to compare it to some other games that are like MMOs as they have the same style of gameplay, except with actual content. I guess you could use planetside as an example of the type of game. But thats IF you are talking about fps/rpg hybrid. If you're just wanting an fps to play online with friends theres a billion of them.

Also happened to get Cryostasis($5), Indigo Prophecy, and AvP.

I didn't like some aspects of Borderlands for its single player campaign, mostly for not appealing to the single player experience. But its also one of those games I wouldn't mind playing again, or at least seeing a more detailed sequel sometime in the future.
