SimCity Societies Screenshots & Trailer

Its fucking brutal I tell you. ALL the best games for PC always come out around actober/november. Theres at LEAST half a dozen pure class titles being released and I dont think I have the time for all of them. I am cry. This game looks stellar aswell. The trailer doesnt show gameplay, but it shows the engine running.

dude have you not noticed, that all the best games for all system some out around oct, nov, december, every year, ts called christmas.

Try owning more than one gaming system this time of year, then you will know what a financial sting it can be.

thankfully for me the PC is a bit light this holiday period, only crysis floating my boat, everything else is all a bit meh!

I've got plenty of consoles you spaz. And no, I dont compare a shitload of CRAP games coming out at the end of th eyear as a good thing. I'm saying this time alot of GOOD games came out in the same period. Nothing to do with christmas. Some of these have been delayed a while. They dont purposely go for christmas period like the consoles. Witcher for example was meant to be out a month ago in september. Crysis, well thats been slightly delayed too.

How about you tell me what awesomeness the PS3 got this period, or the Wii. Probably 1 game at best that aint a multiplatform title. This year its PC. Pure and simple. Nothing to do with favouritism unless you hate western games or PC games in general, and then its just bias. I'll play games on EVERY platform if I have the opportunity. Sadly there needs to actually be something worth getting.

you have all the current gen system which have all the good games coming out for this holiday period? or a load of old gen ones with nothing coming out this holiday period?

i personally think PC games are delayed for the holiday period, crysis for example IMO has been deplayed by EA just for that.

i really can't be arsed to write you a list of what i'll be getting on console this year mate. All i know is that theres a lot more for ME on the PS3/Wii/360 this holiday period than there is on PC thats for sure. other than crysis and witcher everything looks Meh! .. unless you like crud like Jericho.

please do not say COD4 or UT3, as i didn't like the UT3 demo one bit, and COD4 single player is only 5 hours which is piss poor IMO.

the Sim City however does have me slightly interested. not played a sim city for years and would be intersting to see whats changed other than the visuals

I will say UT3 and COD4. Like you said, theres games onc onsoels coming that YOU personally like which I might think are crud aswell. COD4 might have a short campaign, but I'm much more interested in the multiplayer aspect after having played the demo. And UT3 is good. Everyone likes it, will be huge to play online. You're just a crazy crazy old man. Old and crazy. CRAZY!

What games you looking forward to anyway for the 360 and ps3 that come out in next few weeks? End of december dont count cause thats christmas pariod, and you'll notice I list november as the end. Thats way different to christmas period. I cant think of anything coming out for the Wii except for Galaxy. And that I have zero interest in.

well if you must know MP3 has just now dropped in the UK which i am relly enjoying, and galaxy and Zak and Wiki mid nov will do me nicely thanks. theres also GH3 if anyone wanted it on Wii, but i have GH2 on 360 so won't be getting it on Wii, just the data disk for 360.

rachet is out on PS3 in the next few weeks, as is drakes fortune (i think), as for 360, i'll be getting GH3, assasins creed, and Mass effect in the next few weeks. That little lot will do me fine for the next month or so thanks.

thankfully i actually have life outside of gaming so 2-5 games a month is as much as i can play generally,

i like you, am not that sad sort of bastard that will buy and play any old crud like Lair for just something to play , as my life is so deviod anything else.

This holiday period is going to be crazy for me so i have to be very selective, crysis is a must anything else on PC can go spin to be honest, as there is to much else i want on the oher systems to fill what limited play time i have.

I'm a little opposite, as the only games you lsited that I'm interested in are Drakes, Assassin, and Mass effect. Although I'm not buying a ps3 just for 1 game so waiting till theres more out, and I plan to wait for mass effect to come out on the pc. Same for Assassins creed. Did NOT like the framerate jittering in the console version. Mind you I have some games on the previous systems I still need to finish so getting the new systems arent a big problem for me yet. I'm looking to grab a Wii POSSIBLY in febuary. God knows when I'll look at the ps3. Sadly the 360 most of the good games are multiplatform on pc. This is nothing like the previous gen. Everythings everywhere.

Yeah same here. I didnt bother with the last 2 versions since they were fairly similar to each other. This one though is a huge step up. Very impressed.

Sim City, no matter it's brilliance, couldn't just do with another graphics paint job and call it that, it's needed a new direction and I'm glad to say that Societies is looking like it's going to do that.

Sounds like the game was too buggy and hardware intensive to be enjoyable. I'll look into it in 2 years. Maybe an expansion will improve what SHOULD be a good structure for a series.

It's kind of fun, but I like traditional Sim City better. It doesn't really matter what you build, and you make an insane amount of money (I make about 200k a day), and there aren't enough expensive buildings to spend it on.

We downloaded it, so it crashes if you build a casino, and the lag sucks if your city gets big.
