I can't figure out the funny thing either. I think the engine looks great in motion and am curious of other developers will use it.

Maybe its the fact that something this powerful requires artists to make non-perfect faces to hold realism. Now we have bumps scratches and pimples to make you believe you are in the game...

Looks good anyway you look at it though

Nothing wrong with realistic looking faces. I dont recall anyone having issues with Square when they did it for their movies. And I'm not sure if thats what Torquer is lolling about.

no no, i agree.

i just thought it was funny how we kept striving for the perfect 3D model, finally got it, then we say "its too perfect, dirty it up a little"

I was curious about that myself so I went looking on some forums about it. Some say that all the screens and videos so far are of Direct X 9, so some fairly high end pc's that are out now should be bale to run it. Others say that it's going to require Dirext X 10 (which means you need Windows Vista) (which also means you need a new tight ass graphics card compatible with Direct X 10, which aren't out yet)(which #3 bonus means roughly at least 6 months until you can get the stuff that CAN run it, let alone run it well).
