dell is way over priced!!

do people here actually pay insurance.

my garuntee's covers me for hardware faults- but dang if i'm paying for a reload CD or system boot disc and XP (only availabe with expensive insurance) i'd rather sort **** myself.

build your own- way better.

Yeah, my HP is filled with tons of crap programs which I have no use for, so I either uninstall them or just stick them into a folder for unused desktop items.

Not just programs, but the more expensive hardware components. The Pentium chip is a good example.

Are you trying to say that the Pentium 4 is useless? I don't get it. I'm certain that you've got far superior computer knowledge than I do, as do perhaps half or more of the members here.

Oh nono, the pentium isnt exactly useless. Its very good. The problem is its far more expensive then the AMD chipset, and also not as powerful as the AMD. You can save alot of money on an AMD cpu and get more power from it. Think of it in terms of nVidia and ATI. Pentium is excellent for applications and work related stuff while AMD is more focused on better performance in games.
