Heres some that I thought were worth a look at. Some new, some out a little bit ago.

Theres 2 mods that make womens heads not ugly. Theres like different versions, ie gloss, soft, glitter..

don't really like the look of those female faces. i much prefer the work of xenius (no more blocky faces, high quality eyes, lips, etc). cleans up the faces alot while staying true to the beth originals.

i use the other mods you linked though.

don't think this was mentioned here but you can tweak shadows in skyrimprefs.ini to a higher resolution (i use 4096). for some reason you need to first change shadows to medium, load a save, quit out, and go to skyrimprefs.ini and change the values in this screenshot.

then load a save and enjoy crisp shadows. there is a performance hit, of course. should be fine with around a 3.4 ghz quad core since that's what i use.

I dont much care for the original faces. Just because the artists made those dont mean they're the best.

Elder Scrolls has always had ugly faces. Skyrim's just aren't hideous, but wouldn't say they're amazing or anything.

after trying vurt's flora overhaul, i removed it. lost around 10 fps from it.

Most of these mods will hit your performance. Its upgrading the graphics after all.

have you played the game yet? most mods do not effect fps in the slightest, or if they do it's 1-3 fps. i have the 2k textures installed and ground textures, and get little to no drop. 10+ is too much for what the flora mod does.

Yeah, I'm not noticing much drop, if any. I'm running a lot of graphical mods, including Verts.

They're trying to keep the faces in the same form as the original faces. You can only make those horrid models look slightly better.
