Web browsers. Fastest and slowest

Pretty interesting. I can save you all the effort by saying IE 8 is the best overall and Firefox 4 is one of the worst.

So, if you're curious about ways to get firefox less shit, check your add-ons. Heres some criminal ones to remove if speed is an issue.

I've been useing IE 9 and it's pretty good. Hardware acceleration is nice.

To me the competition for the best web browser isn’t about speed anymore. Every major browser out there loads pages near instantaneously and I couldn’t care less of one is .035 seconds faster.

It comes down to layout, compatibility, feature set, and security. I’ll never give up Opera because of this.

Wouldnt that make firefox the better one? Feature set, layout, including add-ons, are either on par or better then opera. I'm actually unsure which is better for security. I'd probably say they'd be on par.

I used Chrome and have had a good experience. I use it on my work machine and it has provided a great mix of speed and stability. I've had one or two websites that had display issues, but that's about it.

At home I've taken to using IE9. I've been very pleased with it. It's like the perfect mix of features and speed. I wish I could use it at work, but all the work stations are imaged with Windows XP. Blah...

Without flashblock and a few other very useful addons, chrome is useless to me.

I use chrome because firefox was just getting ridiculously bad. Oh well. Chrome is working fantastic.

I swear when I tried it last month it didnt have it. At least I think it was flashblock. I need to test it again. Whatever it was it was big enough for me to not use it just yet.
