Dragon Quest X Version 4 expansion announced

Is this not coming to west anymore?

Dragon Quest X Version 4 expansion announced -- Launches on November 16 in Japan for 3,800 yen.

Square Enix announced Dragon Quest X: 5,000 Year Journey to a Faraway Hometown Online, the fourth major expansion for the online Dragon Quest game, during Dragon Quest Summer Festival 2017 in Tokyo today. It will launch for Wii U, PC, PlayStation 4, and Switch on November 16 in Japan for 3,800 yen.

Pre-orders are available now at the Square Enix e-Store. If you previously purchased the Dragon Quest X: All-In-One Package, which includes Version 1, Version 2, and Version 3 of Dragon Quest X, from the Square Enix e-Store, you will receive a 500 yen discount coupon to purchase Version 4.

Additionally, Square Enix released a trailer for the game’s fifth anniversary commemoration event, “The Great Demon King Zoma Challenge.” Watch that below.

They could just make a offline/local MP version for over here, maybe?

Like... if they don't need more than japan to keep the game going. Do they really think that they couldn't get enough players in the west just to break even on translation and server costs? It's a bit puzzling. They can use the FFXIV management team for it aswell...

It's about the same with SEGA and PSO2. It makes no sense.

This was an unneeded online game on the franchise wich also was initially released on the wrong console on the wrong time and limiting the offline experience in order to force people to pay up suscriptions ofcourse it would piss them off.

It can remain exclusive over there.

I think the main reason why it hasn't and it won't be released it's because Sega of Japan doesn't trust their branches outside because they won't be able to maintain order in their servers. When Phantasy Star Universe and Portable 2 were online the servers were overrun with hackers and cheaters.
