First Images Of Telltale's Guardians Of The Galaxy Game Revealed, Voice Actors Confirmed

[UPDATE] Telltale has also confirmed the voice actors behind the main cast. According to IGN, the voice cast is as follows:
  • Star-Lord -- Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights)
  • Gamora -- Emily O'Brien (Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor)
  • Rocket -- Nolan North (Uncharted series)
  • Drax -- Brandon Paul Eells (Watch Dogs)
  • Groot -- Adam Harrington (The Wolf Among Us)

The original story is below.

Following its announcement last year, Telltale Games has released the first images of its upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy episodic title.

This game is scheduled to come out this year. A release date hasn't been announced, but Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is coming out in May, so a release close to then would seem to make sense.

In addition to Telltale's game, Deus Ex studio Eidos Montreal is reportedly working on a Guardians of the Galaxy game of its own, though this has not been confirmed.

Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy game will be released for PC and consoles. There will be five episodes in all.

"The energizing blend of humor, emotion, teamwork, and full-on sci-fi action-adventure of the Guardians provides an enormously satisfying space to explore through Telltale's unique style of interactive storytelling," Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner said in a statement. "In Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot's seat in directing their escapades around the universe. We are always honored to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we've been developing when it premieres in 2017."

Wow, Telltale remembered that it had voice actors who weren't Troy Baker and Laura Bailey.
