Sega, Atlus, Koei Tecmo, Compile Heart, and more tease unannounced titles for 2017

I wish Sega makes Yakuza Kiwami 2 for PS4.

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has a special feature with comments from 46 different game makers, some of which have teased unannounced titles for 2017.

Here are the tidbits:

Idea Factory and Compile Heart

2017 will again be an intense assault. For our female-oriented game brand Otomate, we plan to develop many applications and events in addition to sequels to popular titles and new titles. For Compile Heart, we’re working on Four Goddesses Online and completely new titles.

We’re preparing several unannounced titles for 2017, so please look forward to the announcements.

Valhalla Game Studio

We have been able to offer new world such as Devil’s Third Online and Momotaro Dentetsu 2017. In 2017, we will take on various genres.

Koei Tecmo Games

Next year, starting with the recently announced Dynasty Warriors 9, we are preparing other surprise new titles.

Nippon Ichi Software

We will continue our challenges in 2017. In addition to the release of new consumer titles, we will take on various challenges.

Nihon Falcom

In 2017, the year that Ys celebrates its 30th anniversary, we plan on releasing new information about the PlayStation 4 version of Ys VIII and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III starting from early in the year.

2017 is Xbox’s 15th anniversary in the Japanese market. Please look foward to this year as well.

In 2017, we will deliver various games, including those already announced, anime title game-ifications, and unannounced titles.

New title releases and new title announcements.

Kadokawa Games

There will of course be several new console games.

GungHo Online Entertainment

We must deliver various new titles.

Sega Games

We will take on new challenges as well as series works.

D3 Publisher

We're “putting together” charming titles as if to “absorb you” with a diverse lineup “rich in variety.” (It’s worth noting that the Japanese version of this line seems to be teasing a new Dream Club. The quoted words all have some form of random Katakana “dori” or “tori.” In Japanese, Dream Club is spelled Doriimu Kurabu in Katakana. The character for “do” is made by attaching markers called ten-ten to the character for “to” to indicate the harder “d” sound.)

Game apps of popular characters that represent PlayStation.

In 2017, various titles will be released for home consoles.
It’s worth noting that the words we’re translating as console games is a general term used for both stationary and portable platforms in Japan.
